CEER Foundation Partners with Federal Government College Maiduguri on Tree Planting Campaign

By CEER Communications · August 14, 2026

CEER Foundation partnered with Federal Government College Maiduguri for a tree planting campaign supporting environmental sustainability, climate action, and the greening of educational institutions across Borno State.

The Principal, Security Manager, school representatives, and CEER Foundation staff attended the exercise. The team received a warm welcome from the school management before working together to plant seedlings around the college grounds.

Growing a healthier learning environment

The campaign reflects CEER Foundation’s commitment to practical, locally led climate action. Trees can provide shade, improve air quality, reduce heat, protect soil, and create a healthier environment for students and staff.

By involving school leaders and staff directly in the exercise, the activity also encouraged shared responsibility for nurturing the seedlings and sustaining the benefits of a greener campus.

CEER Foundation will continue working with institutions and communities to advance environmental awareness, resilience, and sustainable development across Northeast Nigeria.
