Cohort for Existential Emergency Relief (CEER) is a youth-led, non-governmental, non-profit organisation committed to timely humanitarian response for victims of conflict, natural disasters, and other existential emergencies.

Established in Northeast Nigeria, we work across Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa to strengthen resilience, restore livelihoods, and promote peace in conflict-affected communities—through community engagement, cultural understanding, and inclusive participation.

Mission

Timely response to healthcare, livelihoods, and protection needs of people affected by conflict and disasters—while partnering with communities to build peace and social cohesion.

An Africa where existential emergencies are contained responsively, and peace and social cohesion are restored in time.

Our technical expertise spans food security and livelihoods; protection and peacebuilding; disaster preparedness and response; economic empowerment; and education and awareness—including mine risk education and youth capacity building.

We maintain proven partnerships with UN agencies, government institutions, and local stakeholders, with roughly ninety percent of staff drawn from Northeast Nigeria.
